Patrol Results Due no later than September 23rd 2016.
August 1st
Gentlemen, I won't take up much of your time, as I know that you are preparing to get underway. After the complaints from Sub Commanders regarding the failure rate of the Mk 14's, The Admiral has ordered some torpedo tests to take place off of the Australian coast. On August 1, 1942, he has advised the fleet that the Mark XIV has been running approximately 10 to 12 feet deeper than set. He now orders that all submarine skippers simply set their torpedoes' running depth to zero, until the faulty depth mechanism has been corrected. This should now ensure that your Mk 14 hits will actually explode more often. (MK14 dud rate is now 1-3 on D6)
