Executive Officer Olin Blanchard is reporting on our final patrol as the crew of the USS Redfin. With great sadness our Captain, Edward Roland, was washed overboard while talking with the lookouts. He was a great leader and one never felt he was an untouchable captain, always talking with the crew to keep spirits up. I can't keep this report going...it's too hard.
