Patrol After Action Reports are due no later than June 25th, 2017.
July 4th 1942
Good morning gentlemen, I won't take up much of your time, as I know that you are preparing to get underway. We have some patrol areas covered this month, but not the China Sea; please just ensure that if your future patrol is in the China Sea, then you will need to remember that you will be in shallow waters and as a result, you will not be able to dive towards or below test depth.
Japan lost the Battle of Midway and Tokyo would like a trophy from the US. make sure it isn't you and your crew. For most of you, this is only your third patrol, so there is no need to take silly chances. Remember your training and use the experience of your last patrol to guide you and your crew back home next month. God speed. - Captain Lyndon Woodbury - SUBRON Commander
The SJ Surface search radar is the second type of radar that has now been deployed to all submarines. It represents a substantial improvement over the previous installed SD radar.
